Your hosts, Alix and Carey Kendall, are the founders and caretakers of Angels Landing Farm - a working ranch and intentional space devoted to healing, connection, and thoughtful stewardship of the land.
The farm is home to animals, open space, and nature-based programming centered on presence, compassion, and conscious living. At times, guests of the cottage may see or hear elements of the farm’s activities, always handled with care and respect for privacy.

Alix is the primary trainer and coach at Angels Landing Farm. Her life with horses began early and evolved through years of advanced training, international study, and mentorship. Over time, her work shifted from the competitive show world to a rehabilitative, horse-centered approach rooted in development rather than force. Today, the farm’s philosophy is guided by a simple principle: supple, stretch, strengthen — honoring the horse’s well-being at every stage.
Alix
Carey brings a complementary perspective shaped by a lifelong connection to horses and a 40-year career in real estate. Together, he and Alix thoughtfully selected and developed this Los Olivos property as a place of quiet sanctuary.
